Update Your Information
by posted 01/06/2008

Whether or not you have already registered your son or daughter for soccer, please double-check ALL the information for your soccer player and for parents in the members' data base, then correct it as necessary.  It's easy to do - just click on Edit My Account to review your information.

This information is used by coaches and soccer club officials to contact you about soccer matches and other related team events.   If your information is incorrect or incomplete, it will become more difficult to contact you when the need arises.  Please pay special attention to the birth date, current school grade, email address and phone number in the soccer club data base, for both players and parents.

Thank you... Ben Myers, Boys HS Coordinator

NVYSL Changes for Under 15 thru Under 18
by posted 12/15/2007

Beginning with the spring 2008 season, the Nashoba Valley Youth Soccer League (NVYSL) has organized soccer a bit differently for the Under 15 through Under 18 age groups, both boys and girls.   Towns can place teams as Under 18 MTOC, Under 16 MTOC and/or High School Nashoba Cup, depending on the players who register.   Teams playing in the MTOC groups consist mainly of players who played on school teams this past fall, whereas the Nashoba Cup teams are made up mostly of recreational soccer players who do not play on fall school teams.  The goal of this approach is two-fold: to encourage more recreational high school players to continue playing on teams appropriate for their abilities, and to provide more even competition among older teams.

Teams in these age groups play nearly all matches on Sundays, scheduled at various times in the 1pm, 3pm, and 5pm time slots.   Matches made up due to bad weather and matches when there is an odd number of teams in a flight are generally played on Saturdays.   As a result, there are few conflicts with school spring sports, making it possible for high school athletes to play spring soccer.

If you have any general questions about NVYSL Sunday soccer or any specific questions about placement on the boys Sunday teams, please contact me.
